Ordo Salutis Problem

In my chapters dealing with the evidences of regeneration and with "Conviction of Sin," I showed how it was a great error for the Hardshells to say that conviction of sin (and what is experienced BEFORE repentance and faith), is an evidence of a prior "regeneration." I showed how this "ordo" is false because it makes the Holy Spirit a liar!

If a man who is "under conviction of sin" is really "regenerated" (saved) and doesn't know it, then he is justified and forgiven too; And, if in that state, how can the Holy Spirit convince him that he is guilty, lost, and condemned? If the Holy Spirit is telling a sinner that he is lost, when he is really saved, then the Holy Spirit becomes a liar in such an "ordo" of things.

Those "Reformed Baptists" who follow the Hypers and the Hardshells and put "conviction of sin" AFTER "regeneration" have this and similar difficulties or "paradigm problems" to deal with, don't you see?
